That really was a tricky wind last night!! Not only did it keep waking me, but it also caused us work!!

It blew down a huge Lombardy Poplar, at the bottom of our garden, just about missing my potting shed (a few twigs caught it ).  We now have the task of lopping, sawing, clearing and burning!!..................

So if anyone's free..................................don't all rush at once! 🙂

I do sympathise.......the awnings kept flapping which then puts the security lights on.....like a belisha beacon all night.   Usually peg them when its windy but that wind even blew the pegs out!  Runner beans blew over but thats OK as they are top heavy.  What with the security lights on and off and pain in my finger I didnt get much sleep either.  Managed to cut the top of my left middle finger with a serrated bread knife which really really hurts.....Minor Injuries for half hour today but its just so painful.......

Ouch!! You have my sympathy.

Apropos, the tree situation: I looked out of the bathroom window yesterday evening, and realised there was a gap in the top of the weeping willow!! Two branches broken, and they are still up there! Another headache!

Viv, we turned off the lights for our security system, just to stop them flashing on and off all night.
