Very pleased today to see a new lollypop lady, accompanied by Cllr Colin Sargeant, at the Frinton Road entrance to the School.  Been about 3 years since Joan retired and sometimes its been scary watching parents just drop their kids off and let them chance getting across the road......builders finish this week so just in time for back gate to be reopened I expect.

Another correction......lollypop man indeedy not lady.  Guess the lady there yesterday was training him when I just thought he was moral support for Colin.  Good addition whether its a man or lady.  Might also be a deterrent for those that park right across the pram crossings making it difficult for mums and mobility scooters.

get someone down with a gopro or camera and after a quick edit put it on youtube aimed at those who supodidly police the no parking areas near schools.

Dont think the magic fairy parking permits even allow school parking, no matter how good the "Blue Badge" is,

and yes, I HAVE done my fair share of school runs when legal guardian of a then 8 years old with ADHD, and possible Autism (freshly checked Monday gone) while attending Holland Park School, but in fairness, I always managed to park "legally" on double yellows close by, but NOT on the school markings, as I too have to live with being disabled so equipped with a magic fairy blue badge..

BUT, rules are rules we all have to live by..

would take far too long to explain why we retired 10 years early and moved here,
but never regretted doing either.

Just updating further that this is voluntarily being manned by Cllr Colin Sargeant and a resident.
