I had to take the car in for service and MOT. So I got a bus into Clacton and then back home.

As we were going along towards Clacton, a shout from some of the passengers to the driver – he had gone the wrong way and got lost!!! Someone got up and had to directed him round to get back on the correct rout.

We got there but an experience!!

John, just wait until the bus drivers go on strike on 18th March. I hate to think where the temporary bus drivers will end up that day!

What, no Sat Nav.

Many years ago my husband noticed Eastern National  Buses, advertising for part time drivers, thay would train you, and pay you while you trained.

All went  well and my husband got his PSV licence,  then the regulator drivers said they would go on strike if they employed them, as this would take away their summer overtime, and they relied on this money.

So he got his PSV for nothing, but it has come in very handy over the years.

Read a snippet somewhere saying its the depot workers not the drivers so dont know if it made much difference or was even noticed by many.

Viv, I took the details from the  Gazette, so it could be their standard level of accurate reporting! 🙂
